Option 1: 230 V / 220-240 V whirlpool
Smaller or more economical whirlpools can be designed for connection to 230 V.
Typical electrical preparation:

The cable includes:
L + N + PE
That is, the phase, the neutral conductor and the protective conductor.
For some models, there may be performance limitations when operating on 230 V. For example, when the massage pumps are started, the water heating can be temporarily switched off in order not to exceed the power consumption. This is especially common with hot tubs connected to one phase.
Recommendations:
- separate electrical circuit for the hot tub only,
- do not connect via an extension cable,
- do not connect to a regular garden socket without verification,
- use a 30 mA current protector,
- bring the cable to the technological part of the hot tub,
- leave a reserve of cable at least 2-3 meters.
Option 2: 400 V / 380-400 V hot tub
Larger hot tubs or hot tubs with higher output usually connect to 400 V.

current protector 4P 30 mA
The cable includes:
L1 + L2 + L3 + N + PE
That is, three phases, a neutral conductor and a protective conductor.
For more powerful hot tubs, longer cable runs or higher protection, a stronger cable may be required, for example:
CYKY-J 5×4 mm²
The advantage of connecting to 400 V is better distribution of power between phases and less restriction of operation. In some models, the 400 V hot tub can handle the water heating and the massage pumps at the same time, while the 230 V version may have limited operation.
Recommendations:
- separate electrical circuit for the hot tub only,
- circuit breaker according to the power consumption of the specific hot tub,
- current protector 30 mA,
- bring the cable to the technological part of the hot tub,
- leave a reserve of cable at least 2-3 meters,
- entrust the connection to a qualified electrician.
