Why is correct alkalinity important?
Total alkalinity acts as a protective buffer for the water. When alkalinity is low, pH can fluctuate rapidly, making water maintenance more difficult and potentially reducing the effectiveness of the disinfectant used.

Example: A 10 m³ pool has an alkalinity of 60 ppm. To increase it to 80 ppm, the value must be raised by 20 ppm, requiring approximately 400 g of product.
How to use Alkalinity Balance
Measure the alkalinity
Before application, measure the total alkalinity using suitable test strips.
Determine the required increase
Compare the measured value with the recommended range of 80–120 ppm.
Calculate the dose
For every 1 m³ of water, use 20 g of product to increase alkalinity by 10 ppm.
Dissolve in water
Dissolve the measured dose in a clean container of water. Always add the product to the water.
Apply with circulation running
Distribute the solution evenly over the surface with filtration or circulation running.
Check the water again
After thorough mixing, measure the alkalinity again and only then adjust the pH.

Recommended procedure
- measure the total alkalinity
- adjust alkalinity to 80–120 ppm
- allow the water to mix thoroughly
- measure alkalinity and pH again
- then adjust pH according to the system used
