Four layers of hot-tub water care
Warm water, jets, cosmetics and a high organic load create demanding conditions in a hot tub. Royal Shield™ combines regular disinfection, algaecide protection, biofilm prevention and residual action between applications.
Protection against algae
Reduces water greening and the formation of slippery deposits on walls and floors.
Biofilm prevention
Helps prevent a slimy layer from forming in pipework, jets and other parts of the system.
Ongoing protection
The active ingredients remain effective in the water between regular doses.

Important: Do not combine the product with other disinfectants, especially chlorine- or bromine-based products. Do not mix different disinfection systems.

How to use Disinfection for SPA
Test the water quality
Before the first and every regular application, check the pH, alkalinity, hardness and disinfectant concentration.
Adjust the alkalinity
Total alkalinity should be within 80–120 mg/L. Adjust it before setting the pH.
Adjust the water pH
For the system to work correctly, adjust the water pH to the recommended range of 6.8–7.2.
Add the disinfectant
Measure 50 ml per 1 m³ of water and apply with circulation running.

Circulation distributes the product evenly throughout the water and pipework.
Repeat every week
Test the water again before the next application and adjust the dose according to its current condition.

The recommended range for the Royal Pool & Spa system is 6.8–7.2.

Optimum total alkalinity helps keep the pH stable.
Water hardness
Monitoring hardness helps protect heaters, jets and surfaces from deposits.

Regular testing helps determine whether the standard dose needs adjustment.

Start with a clean and balanced system
Before switching
- do not mix different disinfection systems
- ideally use fresh water
- clean the pipework with Deep Cleaner
- rinse the tub and filter thoroughly
After filling
- measure alkalinity, pH and water hardness
- adjust the alkalinity first
- then adjust the pH to 6.8–7.2
- then add the initial dose of disinfectant
Saltwater systems: A saltwater generator produces chlorine. When switching to chlorine-free care, it must be turned off and no additional salt may be added to the water.
